This pamphlet is intended to be printed on the front & back of a single piece of paper.  After printing, simply fold the pamphlet on the dotted lines — then use and distribute.

NOTE: Be sure when printing that "Page Scaling" is set at "None."  (Adobe may default the "Page Scaling" setting to "Fit to Printable Area" or "Shrink to Printable Area" which will cause the pamphlet to print in such a way that the columns won't be lined up properly for folding.)

About The Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

On July 16th, of the year 1251, in Aylesford, England, Our Lady appeared to
St. Simon Stock, a Carmelite monk, and handed him a brown woolen garment. 
In doing so, she made this promise: "Whosoever dies in this garment shall not suffer eternal fire."

Suppose that Our Lady were to appear to you today, and suppose that she were to promise you that you would certainly save your soul on the fulfillment of one simple condition — would you be interested?  Would you not say "Yes"?  Would you not promise to accept such a condition?  Would you not feel that when your time came to die, her promise would make death easier for you?  If you can say "No" to these questions, then this pamphlet will hold no interest for you.  But it will interest you if you sincerely wish to save your soul, because the Queen of Heaven has made this promise to you; and she will keep her promise if you do what she asks.

What does Our Lady ask?  She simply asks you to wear her Brown Scapular during your life, as a sign that you are her child, and because you love her and want to do what she asks.  That is all.  She doesn't ask you to say any special prayers, or to do any special "acts" — just to wear the Scapular because you love her, and because she has given it to you.
